listening retreat on Dartmoor (May 08)

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd run a technical question by you. I'm looking for a good-quality boundary (table-top) microphone to use for an oral history workshop. There seems to be a wide price range out there. Does anyone have any experience with these and any recommendations to make? I'd prefer an omni with an xlr connection to use with my marantz 660. The models I've seen with these features appear to run in the £150-200 range. Will I be able to find something cheaper and still get good sound quality?

Thanks,
Sarah
