Podcasting and uploading audio files
Some background on mp3 file format.
Audio editor for mac that can create mp3 files - Amadeus. Audacity will also do this, but may need the Lame encoder downloaded - follow the instructions on the Audacity website here.
Places where you can upload audio files for free for others to play - My Flash Fetish, Tumblr. You may also want to check out Archive.org. A place you can upload videos other than You Tube - Vimeo.
For podcasting - Vodcaster - a free piece of software for making podcasts, Mac only. PC version is Podifier.
Uploading/publishing software - Fetch, Transmit (mac only).
For marking your creative work with the freedoms you want it to carry - Creative Commons.
